This was reported on August 14 by the London police. Earlier it became known that on Tuesday morning the motorist crashed into the fence at the Parliament building in Westminster. As a result, several people were injured – they were hospitalized.

In the tourist market with regret watching the news coming about the terrorist attack in London. However, according to the estimates of suppliers working in this direction, the sad incident did not affect the sales of tours to the UK, there are no cancellations.

"There are no changes in the level of demand at the moment, it remains stable. In tour itineraries scheduled for the coming days, the adjustments yet either", – says Ivetta Verdiyan, Director of promotion and advertising BSI Group.
In turn, the Federal Agency for tourism recommended Russian tourists who are in London, if possible, to avoid crowded places and follow the instructions of local authorities. According to the Russian Embassy in the United Kingdom, our compatriots are not among the victims.

Will collapse if the demand for Turkey when they open the Egypt?
And what will happen to prices
Hoteliers of Egypt and Turkey are intensely waiting for the soon launch of charters from Russia to Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh, promised by Vladimir Putin. For the Egyptians it will be a business Renaissance. For the Turks, there is a serious risk of losing a significant part of the clientele, you may even have to reduce prices, although there is a desire to significantly increase them.

The summer tourist season of 2018 ends victoriously for Turkish entrepreneurs: sales have increased in all markets. From January to August, the country received a total of about 27 000 000 tourists – 23% more than in the same eight months of 2017. As expected, at the end of 2018, the tourist flow will be 40 000 000 people-last year it was 32 410 000. Especially dynamically growing number of tourists from Russia and Germany – from January to September Antalya was visited by 4 143 000 of our compatriots and 1 800 000 Germans (respectively +22 and +32% to the indicators of a year ago). And all this despite the significant rise in price of Turkish hotels. Last summer, hotels increased prices by 15-20 %, and especially confident managers even threw 30% to last year's prices.
"We have previously consulted with fellow competitors, to develop a coherent policy and came to the conclusion that it is time to raise the price level to re-establish a balance of price and service quality at our resorts," – said the correspondent HotLine.travel a representative of one of the luxury hotels, who requested anonymity. The conversation took place last week on the sidelines of the ceremony of awarding the Starway tourism award, established by the tour operator Coral Travel. The anonymous expert added that the hotels, which have risen in price by 30 %, were filled less intensively than the others, but received a more solvent tourist. And all finished the season with a positive financial result.

Summer is over, and the demand for Turkey continues to break records. And hoteliers see every reason to raise rates again next season. Contracting is in full swing, many accommodation facilities have already announced prices to partners-10-15% higher than last year. This was reported by the correspondent HotLine.travel commercial Director of Coral Travel, Argument Unalan.
But what happens when they open the Egypt? In this regard, hoteliers Express different points of view. In particular, Diana Sadeeva, a representative of Kaya Palazzo Resort, believes that the outflow of tourists to the Red sea is quite likely, Turkish hoteliers then have to fight for the clientele from Russia. And this may be a deterrent to further price increases in Turkish resorts.

Another position is held by Ibrahim Toskin, sales and marketing Manager at Mirage Park Resort. In his opinion, the opening of Egypt can not significantly change the demand for Turkey, the directions have different clientele. My colleague is supported by Marina katseva, sales Manager at Titanic Hotels in the CIS: only in autumn and winter Egypt can attract tourists who would otherwise go to Turkey. But not in summer.

Your opinion, dear readers? How will the situation in the Turkish market change when Charter flights to Egypt open? ▲
